Over the past decade, Knowledge Management (KM) is receiving increasing attention from researchers and practitioners alike. However, a well-integrated and holistic framework that would unify the discipline and guide practice is currently missing. In an effort to address the identified gap a holistic, modular and easy to use Knowledge Management implementation methodology is proposed. The KMinPractice Methodology aids the structured and gradual realization of Knowledge Management, through the provision of practical guidelines and useful tools.

The principal aim of this survey is to investigate the current understanding around the Knowledge Management phenomenon in relation to the basic constructs of the proposed KMinPractice methodology.
This section provides the definitions of terms used in the context of the survey.
This post contains selected bibliographic sources that were studied for the development of the KMinPractice Knowledge Management implementation methodology.

This is a call for papers for the 3rd European Conference on Intellectual Capital University of Nicosia, Nicosia, Cyprus on the 18-19 April 2011.
The call is open until 27th of September 2010.
Today, almost 80% of economic value creation is based on intangible resources. However, most organizations still do not know how to reveal the value of these resources and how to give direction to future value creation. The concept of intellectual capital gives intangibles ‘a body’ and therefore makes it possible to measure, communicate and interpret them. This conference combines theory and practice and gives a state-of-the-art overview of intellectual capital measurement and management.

A new publication related to the KMinPractice Knowledge Management methodology was recently published.
Abstract
Relevant literature suggests that the field of knowledge management (KM) at the service of contemporary organizations is characterized by a plethora of diverse frameworks. However, none of these frameworks has achieved such a wide acceptance so as to be conceived as a standard. In fact, practice proves that each research or consultant group follows its own approach while many initiatives are based on custom approaches, developed each time from scratch, or even worse do not follow a structured method at all.
